Yuan

Official currency of the People’s Republic of China, also known as the renminbi.

Yuan is the primary currency of China, officially called the Renminbi (RMB). It is used domestically and increasingly in international trade and finance.

For example, oil imports from China may be priced in yuan, influencing exchange rate risk, hedging strategies, and trade flows. Yuan-denominated contracts are growing in global energy markets.

The yuan plays a significant role in foreign exchange markets, cross-border transactions, and commodity pricing. Traders, exporters, and multinational corporations monitor its movements to manage currency exposure and optimize pricing.

Understanding the yuan allows market participants to assess currency risks, plan hedging strategies, and engage in international trade efficiently, especially in energy and commodities sectors.
